Training programme for small poultry farmers begins at KVK Chandel

A month long 'Skill Development Training Programme' for small poultry farmers organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Chandel under the supervision of Agriculture Skill Council of India has begun at the training hall of KVK Chandel, Monsang Pantha Village, Chandel District today.
The opening function of training programme which was conducted under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Gol was attended by Joint Director Veterinary Chandel Dr Kh Surchandra Singh as chief guest, programme coordinator in-charge, KVK Chandel Dr Th Motilal as president and Veterinary Officer Chandel Dr Sameri as guest of honour.
In-chagre of the training programme who is also Assistant Chief Technical Officer (ACTO) of Animal Science, KVK Chandel Dr A Ameeta Devi and ACTO Soil and Water Conservation Engineering Dr K Sonamani also took part in the opening function of the training programme.
About 25 trainees from different parts of Chandel District - Japhou, Chandel Christian, Lamphou Pasana, Chandonokpi and Ziontlang village - are taking part in the training programme.
Joint Director Veterinary Chandel Dr Kh Surchandra Singh will impart knowledge on 'Scope of Poultry Farmers', Veterinary Officer Chandel Dr Samerei on 'Breeds and Breeding', ACTO Animal Science, KVK Chandel Dr A Ameeta on 'Feeding and Management' during the training programme.
