Manipur University organises National Workshop on Statistical Data Analysis

"Five Day National Workshop on Statistical Data Analysis in Social Sciences Research" organised by Department of Adult Continuing Education and Extension & Department of Education has started at Department of Computer Science yesterday.
The workshop will end on March 15, said a statement of Irengbam Tilokchan Singh, Web Administrator cum Designer, Manipur University.
Dr Rajkumar Suresh Singh attended the event as program convenor while Dr Ch Beda Devi (Education, MU) and Ch Sonia (ACEE, MU) attended as program co-convenor of the workshop.
More than 57 participants including 26 Assistant Professors from nine different colleges, 7 guest faculty and more than 24 research scholars from the North Eastern States are participating the event.
The inaugural function was graced by O Imocha Singh (Head, Computer Science, MU), Dr Manoj Kumar (CESP, JNU, New Delhi) and Dr Ch Beda Devi (Programme Co-convenor, NWSDASSR) as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
During the workshop today, Jarnail Singh, Administrator MU interacted with participants on the topic of data analysis & statistical decision making with data mining application.
Jarnail Singh, Administrator MU, Dr Manoj Kumar, Dr S Shantikumar and Dr L Prabhakar Singh are speakers at the workshop.
The participants will visit Andro on Mar 14 as a part of the workshop, said the statement.
QET Exam:
Meanwhile, Dr I Gambhir Singh (Head, Dept of English & Cultural Studies, MU) has announced that the Qualifying Entrance Test (QET) for Pre-Ph D will be held on March 14 and the interview has been scheduled from March 26 .
Jarnail Singh also visited the 100 bedded Kushum Lei, Ladies Hostel No 7 .
The hostel was inaugurated by former VC Prof HNK Sarma on September 11, 2015, said the statement.
