2016 Manipur Rifles Riflemen Viva Voce Completed Candidate (JAC) has imposed a 48 hour Statewide total shut down from midnight today after the State Government failed to give any positive response regarding the JAC's demand for the announcement of Viva Voice result by yesterday, July 7 .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Laitonjam Kirankumar, president of the JAC, narrated that the notification for the recruitment of Manipur Rifles Riflemen post, Manipur Police Constable for 2016 batch, came out on the same day.
The physical test and written test for the candidates of Manipur Rifles Riflemen and Manipur Police Constable were then held on the same day but at different locations.
The result for Manipur Police Constable has already been declared and the training and medical tests of the successful candidates have already begun.
But on the other hand, the result of the 2016 Manipur Rifles Riflemen Viva Voce completed Candidate has not been announced till date, he claimed and added that the JAC had appealed to CM N Biren and the State Government to announce the result by July 7 (yesterday).
The State Government has failed to take up any positive steps regarding the JAC's demands and as a result the JAC has decided to impose a 48 hour Statewide shut down from midnight today, he informed.
He continued that essential services such as media, medical and religious ceremonies will be exempted from the total shut down.
He also warned that if the State Government remains silent regarding the issue the JAC will launch further intensified form of agitation.
