Imphal, October 07 2011:
Sunil Meetei of the proscribed UG group KCP (MTF) who escaped from Porompat Police Station in a press release welcomed the Manipur DGP's announcement of Rs 1 lakh reward for him dead or alive.
Reminding that the post of DGP is not a permanent post for anybody, the release also announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for those who can nab or kill the DGP.
The plan to keep him in the jail on false charges of drug trafficking has become a mere dream for the DGP.
The press release also hinted hands of some MLAs behind his arrest.
It further stated that the India government has realised that they cannot put down the revolutionary movements in the state and has been using drug warfare to demoralise the youths of the state and to destroy the confidence of people on the revolution.
He escaped from the cell only to prove that it is far better to live a day dedicated to the people instead of spending the rest of his life in prison on false charges of drug trafficking.
His escape from police custody will mark a new chapter in the history of revolution in the state, it added.
While sharing the sorrows of the suspended police personnel, the release further claimed that the DGP and SDPO Lamlai were the person they should suspend.
It also stated that nobody helped him in his escape and asked to stop exploiting family members for his escape.
