Imphal, November 05 2015:
The way DBTL, the joint initiative of the Government of India and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), is being implemented in Manipur is highly doubtful if all the complaints and startling revelations made by consumers and non-consumers are any indication.
One individual from Palace Compound, Imphal East said that he received an SMS about transfer of LPG subsidy (Rs 247.10) to his bank account although he has no LPG connection in his name.
The individual, on condition of anonymity, received an SMS today informing him
about transfer of LPG subsidy of Rs 247.10 to his bank account.
He said that he has no LPG connection in his name.
Another man from the same locality said that one LPG connection he enjoyed when he was in Arunachal Pradesh was transferred to an LPG distributor located in Imphal East district.
The consumer number was transferred to the particular distributor in the beginning of last month.
Not long after, he received SMSs on October 15 and 16 about transfer of subsidy amount to his bank account.
Though the consumer number was transferred, no LPG refill was obtained till this period.
He received SMS twice on October 15 and 16 from BW-CBSSBI about transfer of subsidy amount to his account.
Since his consumer number was transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to the LPG distributor located in Imphal East district, no refill has been taken, he said.
He continued that he was taken by total surprise when he received SMS not once but twice about transfer of subsidy amount to his bank account while he was yet to take any LPG refill.
