Speaking at the International Translation Day function, Ratan Thiyam commended Sahitya Thoupang Lup for organising the function and the festival and maintained that it is not easy for poets or authors/writers to transform their views and artistic expressions into poems/ literature.
He urged all poets or authors to broaden the language and the dialect in which they are telling the stories so that people in other States or countries can read their books as well.
