DESAM continues disturbance free education campaign

Continuing its effort to make education free from disturbances, Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) conducted awareness drive at different schools, today.
The campaigns were held at Tiny Tots' Unique School, Khuman Lampak, St Joseph's School, Sangaiprou, Heritage Convent School, Uripok, Millenium Institute of Science, Kwakeithel Mayai Koibi and CC Higher Secondary School.
Speaking on the occasion, DESAM vice president, Nameirakpam Edison said that a committee named Coordination Committee on Disturbance Free Education Zone was formed recently in collaboration with Catholic Education Society Manipur, All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association and All Manipur College Teachers' Association etc.
The campaign was initiated to comprehend the problems and difficulties faced by the students, he said and added the best way to put an end to the ever mushrooming issues of the State is to guide, educate and counsel the students in best possible ways so that they can take their role efficiently when their time comes.
A poster campaign, street corner play for the same cause will also be started prior to "Disturbance Free Educational Zone Demand Day", which will be observed on July 5 at Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Chingmeirong, he said.
