CCpur, June 26 2020:
The Centre for Community Initiatives (CCI) has today donated two units of oxygen concentrators to the District Hospital Churachandpur as part of their annual Unau Day observance.
The centre which runs a premier school for the differently-abled has also reached out to about a hundred economically weak disabled families on the day which under normal circumstances was set aside, once a year to mingle their students with their siblings.
The oxygen concentrator, according to the CCI, is a medical device that receives air, purifies it, and then distributes the newly formed air.
It is usually deployed to assist people who have a low level of oxygen in their blood.
They are powered by plugging the device into an electrical outlet.
