KWCare continues social work

Supported by District Council Administration and local bodies' like Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kanggui Women Welfare Organization, Kanggui Youth Union and GUDUP, the KWCare planted grass at Brig Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.
The plantation which began from May 20 was disrupted by heavy rainfall, a statement informed.
More than 100 non-member representatives from each ward of Kangpokpi took part in the plantation on May 20.Around 70 students of Elite Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi and voluntary members along with coordinators of KWCare continued the plantation work on May 21 while more than 60 other people from six wards of the district along with hostellers of Amy Hostel, Kangpokpi helped KWCare the next day.
The plantation drive was completed today assisted by over 20 students from Diamond English High School, Kangpokpi, coordinators and members of KWCare.
The grass that were planted at the Brig Thomas Ground were transported from Gopibung Lamkhai, Champhai sub division.
KWCare said it will shortly begin sanitization of river and other sanitary activities in the town.
