Aid to displaced families, students continue

Thoubal, May 23 2023:
Social worker and candidate for Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency and Ching Tam Women Development Association distributed relief items including rice to the relief camps set up across Thoubal and Kakching districts today.
The team extended relief to the relief camps at Kodompokpi Sport Complex Wangjing, Lamding Higher Secondary School, Pioneer Club Wangjing Hodamba and Youth Voluntary Association, Wangjing Bazar under Thoubal district and Grace Cottage Academy, Kakching Makha Leikai and Kakching Higher Secondary School under Kakching district.
Dr Alyson Abonmai highlighted the importance of restoring peaceful co-existence and doing away with divisiveness of any nature.
Separately, the Peace and Relief Committee Heirok distributed school text books, notebooks, toys etc to children academically ranging from Class I to Class XII at Heirok Higher Secondary School relief centre.
It may be noted that the Peace and Relief Committee Heirok was formed under the supervision of Dr Thokchom Radheshyam, MLA Heirok Assembly Constituency.
The stationery items were distributed in the presence of DI N Rajen, ZEO Zone (III) Thoubal; Thokchom Nimai, principal, Heirok Higher Secondary School; Thokchom Chourjit, president, Peace and Relief Committee Heirok, member Tourangbam Kala and Thokchom Ibochouba, MLA Th Radheshyam, father as well as other family members.
It may be noted that the MLA's family made a significant contribution to today's relief extension effort.
