NWU endorses CNPO demand

Naga Women Union (NWU) has supported the demand for relocation of surrendered KYKL (MDF) cadres from the camp of 20th Battalion of AR in Chandel HQ.
In a statement issued by its Publicity Wing, NWU observed that even as the public of Chandel District are apprehensive of keeping the surrendered cadres of KYKL (MDF) in the 20th Battalion of Assam Rifles which is located in the heart of Chandel Town, the arrest of the two surrendered KYKL (MDF) cadres by NSCN Cadres on 25th March 2013 from the populated area of Chandel Headquarters has become a great concern as such situation could create enmity and more conflicts among the communities.
In support of the resolution no.1 of Chandel Naga Peoples Organization (CNPO) taken during a meeting held on 2nd April 2013 as, NWU has earnestly appealed to the Government of Manipur not to keep the surrendered KYKL (MDF) cadres of at 20th Battalion, Assam Rifles, Chandel HQ but rehabilitate them in the valley areas and not in the hill districts.
