Fungus found in Britannia cake

Imphal, July 20 2015 :
Britannia cake (orange bite) manufactured by India's well-known company Britannia was found to be fungus covered when opened to eat.
Tongbram Helena, wife of Manglemjao from Sagolband Tera Yambem Leirak bought the cake, manufactured by Britannia Company, B Industries Ltd.
5/1 Hunger Ford Street, Kolkata 700017 and marketed by A Badia Enterprise, from a shop of the locality to her paternal home in Langthabal Phura Makhong.
She bought pineapple, orange and fruit favoured cakes.
Fungus was found in the orange bite when opened on Sunday morning.

The manufacture date was given as June 21 last, expiry date being after 90 days.
The packet was well covered and no sign of moisture seeping inside was found.
People disclosed that there is high risk of health hazards when people especially children consume such type of cakes unknowingly.
Parents need to take care of their children since these well packed eatables and sweets are suspected to be more hazardous.
