PFI condemns death of Palestinians

After Israeli troops killed 60 Palestinians at a mass protest in Gaza on May 14 against the relocation oftheUS Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the Popular Front of India, Manipur State on Sunday staged a sit-in protest at Sora Bazar in solidarity with the Palestine and condemning the excessive use of force by the Israeli army.
Israeli troops have claimed lives of at least 60 Palestinians and left more than 2,000 injured according to reports.
Speaking to media persons, PFI Manipur State president Wahidur Rahman said that the PFI condemned the US and the Israeli Government for the breach of international humanitarian law in the incident.
The use of excessive force against unarmed civilians who were 'protesting for their rights' was uncalled for, said Rahman terming the incident one of the worst that has happened.
Protesters held placards that read 'stop killing Palestinian', save Palestinians, Israel is the terrorist, 'stop bloodshed in Palestine' etc at the protest today.
