Two persons were called up by the volunteers of All Manipur Anti Durg and Alcohol (AMADA) head office today in relation to human trafficking.
A press release issued by Assistant Secretary General of AMADA head office, Ph Abe Chanu stated that one alcohol addict, Kshetrimayum Bichitra alias Nanao (36) of Khurai Thangjam Leikai and his ally Sapam Nabakumar (52) a resident of Assam Lakhipur Konjeng Leikai currently serving as a saint of ISKCON, Sangaiprou drew out heavy amount of money from one Thoudam Surchan (37) a resident of Toubul Awang Leikai in pretext of allotting him a job at TESCO WIRE HOUSE at Malaysia which later the duo sold him off to one of the restaurant in Malaysia (MNR Restaurant).
Surchan revealed AMADA that he was helped by the Indian Embassy out there in reaching his home safely.
AMADA verified the incident with both the traffickers Ksh Bichitra and Sapam Nabakeshore in which the two consented to their misdeeds and also assured to refund Rs 75, 000 to Surchan which was drawn by the duo from him in pretext of a job in Malaysia within July 15, 2009 .
Thoudam Surchan further revealed that many Indians are still suffering hardship in Malaysia.
He stated that he will trace out their backgrounds and notify the concerned governments and the Indian Embassy in Malaysia by sending acknowledgement letters.
AMADA stated that Ksh Bichitra was intoxicated with liquor when he was visiting AMADA head office today.
Sapam Nabakeshore who is also serving the society as a saint was surrendered to his family members after being advised according to the principle of AMADA.
Lastly, AMADA stated that such human trafficking is possible in future too and hence, appealed to all job aspirants in the society to kindly investigate into the detail of the job and its assuring agencies properly before being fallen into real tragedy.
