NJ Gangte visits Alma Mater

"Have a dream, and be sincere to it," said Pu N J Gangte, High Commissioner of India to Zambia during a 30-minutes rendezvous with students of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Churachandpur today.
"Life is not easy, competition today is tougher.
Be faithful and dedicate yourself to achieve your dream.
Make best use of your time." said the diplomat while addressing the children of his alma mater.
NJ Gangte also told it was God's plan that gave him the opportunity to have a quality time with the students and staff of his alma mater after leaving the school in 1984.Encouraging the students to fear God in order to achieve their dreams, he added, "Be faithful to God, your parents, your community, State and Country" .
NJ Gangte also recalled and shared his memories with the school to the children and staff.
Son of Pu Noksiek Gangte and Pi Nemkholam, Ngulkham Jathuom Gangte, a 1994 batch Indian Foreign Service Officer was born on December 23, 1968 at Chiengkonpang.
Noksiek Gangte passed his matriculation from Don Bosco High School in 1984.He completed his PUC (Sc) from DM College of Science, Imphal in 1987 and BSc (Hons) in Chemistry in 1991 from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi.
He cracked the prestigious UPSC Civil Service Exam in 1994 and was given the Indian Foreign Service.
He was posted as Third Secretary (LT) and Second Secretary at Cairo, Egypt during July 1996 to October 1999.He served as Second Secretary and First Secretary at Rabat, Morocco during November 1999 to October 2002 .
Again, he was posted as First Secretary at Dublin, Ireland from November 2002 to May 2006.From May 2006 to July 2008, he took charge as the Deputy Secretary and later Director Ministry of External Affairs, South Block, New Delhi.
From July 2008 to June 2011 he served as the Counsellor, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
He had also served as Joint Secretary, MEA New Delhi from 2014 to 2017 .
He was promoted to High Commissioner (Ambassador) of India to Zambia in 2017 and has been serving since then.
