Imphal, April 13 2013 :
If the different communities settling in the State have narrow-minded approach in their outlook and fail to build unity amongst themselves, then there is no hope for development in the State, MLA of Saikul A/C Yamthong Haokip has exclaimed.
The MLA made the remarks while speaking as Chief Guest of the inaugural function of a newly constructed community hall at Tingpibung village under Sadar Hills today.
He pointed out that even though Tingpibung is a small village with small population, the village is so fertile that huge quantity of rice and corn can be produced.
So, the fertility of the soil in the area is an added advantage to the villagers.
But what is even more important in any village, whether it has large population or a small population, or whether the soil is fertile or not, is that the people should have unity among themselves.
Only then, there can be development and prosperity in the village.

Presided over by Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman of ADC, Sadar Hills, the function was also attended by Jilthang Touthang, ADC member as Special Guest.
After the function, MLA Yamthong Haokip also went to inspect the progress of the construction works at Ekoumulam Residential School under Sadar Hills.
