NSCN-IM lift ban on Poumai Union, NPO lauds

Senapati, August 12 2015:
After three months ban on Poumai Naga Union (PNU) over the Thiwa village issue, the NSCN-IM has lifted the same with immediate effect.
An order issued by the Cabinet Secretary ofN SCN-IM DG Robert announced the revocation of the ban on the request of the Naga People's Organization (NPO) and understanding reached between the outfit and the apex body of the Poumai tribe.
Meanwhile the NPO has lauded the decision of the NSCN-IM to lift the ban.
A statement issued by the Senapati apex body stated that such positive reaction of the NSCN-IM is welcomed by all and added that NPO acknowledges the order of the NSCN-IM to lift the ban on the appeal of the NPO and the understanding reached with the Poumai tribe body.
It also added that, relations among civil bodies and different organizations should be cordial through mutual respect and frontal bodies should be made known of any stand before the same is adopted in the future.
