AR (S) have conveyed heartiest greetings to the people of the State
on the auspicious occasion of Cheiraoba which falls on April 13 .
In a greeting message, CM O Ibobi said that Cheiraoba
festival marks the parting of the old year and the onset of the
New Year.
On this auspicious day, the youngsters seek the
blessings of the elders for a happy and long life.
Joining the people of the State in celebrating the festival,
the Chief Minister wished that the New Year may herald an
era of peace, prosperity and progress for all.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshwar
prayed to the Almighty that the celebration of Cheiraoba brings
in love and compassion among the people and the State leads
the rest in development.
Rajya Sabha MP Abdul Salam wished the festival bring
more love among the different communities of the State, pros-
perity and development in the State.
"Let the festival bring
happiness, prosperity, peaceful coexistence and development
in the State with the celebration of Cheiraoba," wished MPCC
president TN Haokip.
State BJP Kisan Morcha wished that
the price of rice remains stable and violent incidents like the
tussle between an armed group and locals at Napet Palli and
the ghastly incident at Mayang Imphal may not recur with the
celebration of Cheiraoba.
Maj Gen VS Sreenivas, IG AR (S) and all ranks of Assam
Rifles extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the
people of the State on the occasion of Cheiraoba.
IGAR (S) wished that all the goodwill bring the people
together, irrespective of castes, creed and faith.
He also wished
that the Almighty bless all with joy and happiness and guide
the people in their endeavours towards building a strong and
prosperous Nation and Cheiraoba festival ushers in peace,
harmony and prosperity in Manipur.
