Another body found near Paraolon ambush site

Imphal, June 08 2015 :
A bullet-riddled and highly decomposed body was found close to Paraolon village in Chandel district where armed cadres killed 18 soldiers belonging to 6 Dogra Regiment in a deadly ambush on June 4 .
The body was found by security forces while conducting a massive hunt for armed cadres in the area following the attack which also wounded 11 soldiers.
Official sources said security forces spotted the body inside the deep jungle, about 20 km from Paraolon on Sunday.
On Monday, a police team retrieved the body from the spot and brought it to Imphal, the sources further informed.
The body was found amidst reports that four villagers from Tonsen Khullen in Chandel have gone missing in the jungle area of Moltuk since June 3.The missing villagers had gone for hunting in the jungle.
Moltuk is located just a few kilometers from the site of the Paraolon ambush.
The four missing villagers are Koko Kom (29), Yumnam Koireng (30), KR Kom (55) and YM Kom (39).A missing report has been lodged with Sugnu Police Station.
However, it is not yet known whether the body belongs to one of the armed cadres who ambushed the Army or either one of the villagers who have gone missing.
