Food for Thought: A new look fest

Oriental pumpkin and Rainbow Pao's day long gig 'Food for Thought' with music, fashion and poetry was held before a select audience at Classic Hotel in Imphal on Saturday.
Baljit Malik, coordinator of Rainbow Pao who comes to Manipur to explore and spread oneness among the various ethnic communities through the medium of music, fashion etc, stole the show with his entertaining lines right from the beginning of the show.
The energetic 72 year old writer cum music lover from Banglore entertained the audience in between the various special numbers from local bands and the visiting Banglore based Rainbow Pao band comprising of four veteran musicians with its young vocalist Laura Santana.

The day of music and fashion shows began at 2 pm one hour behind schedule.
Imphal based Shallow River Band's entertaining numbers such as Forever Young and Guru Rewben and son Saka's song of Hornbill besides visiting Rainbow Pao's Bridge Over the Troubled Water fulfilled the organisers' dream theme of Food for Thought with non-alcoholic cocktails a la Manipuri taste.
Dirty Strikers, Two Sisters and Natasha's entertaining numbers and a sequence of fashion shows were the other highlights of the day long gala.
