Five political parties including opposition parties today resolved to launch campaign for ouster of the ruling Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government in the state at a meeting held today at the residence of opposition leader Radhabinod Koijam of NCP at Thangmeiband.
The meeting which was attended by leaders of various political parties reportedly criticized move of the chief minister O Ibobi pouring misdeed of killing Ch Sanjit in fake encounter only to the six police commando personnel including a sub-inspector.
DGP Y Joykumar and Senior SP, Imphal west cannot be left behind.
Chief minister, O Ibobi who is also looking after the home portfolio involved in the matter, the meeting considered and resolved a three-point resolution for campaigning ouster of SPF government, source closed to the parties said.
The meeting resolved to investigate into the killing of people in fake encounter including the July 23 firing incident which government authorities claim as encounter, to press resignation of chief minister, O Ibobi for a fear judicial inquiry into the July 23 incident and handing over of the FIR case registered in connection with the firing incident to the CBI before eliminating the evidences of the case.
In the meeting leaders of political parties like O Joy, advisor of MPP, Nimaichand Luwang, president of MPP, NCP president Radhabinod Koijam himself, its general secretary K Sharatkumar, CPI(M) secretary Sharat Salam, secretary member Shanta, Debarta of MSCP and president of BJP state unit, H Borbabu attended.
The meeting was convened taking serious note on the developing situation in the wake of people's agitation following the exposure of fake encounter and with the July 23 as basis, many matters arising out in the state was discussed.
