'Dream big, have vision': MPKFCT chairman to meritorious students

Honouring the meritorious students of Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district during the 22nd Maj S Kipgen (Pagin) SM Foundation Charitable Trust (MPKFCT) meritorious award distribution ceremony, its chairman Thangminlen Kipgen, also the president of NPP Manipur Unit, exhorted the young scholars to dream big and have vision for their lives.
The meritorious award is organized annually by Maj Pagin Kipgen Foundation, A Charitable Trust, as part of its endeavor to bring quality education and to encourage the youngsters of Sadar Hills district since 1999 .
Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills graced the award distribution ceremony as chief guest while Thangminlen Kipgen, chairman MPKFCT and Chunglenmang Kipgen, MCS, attended the function as functional president and guest of honour respectively.
During the function, a brief history of late Maj Pagin Kipgen was highlighted by Dr Ngamkhohao Haokip, declaration of awardees and presentation conducted by Jampu Kipgen and Rev Paogoulen Sitlhou, M Th Pastor and Youth Secretary, TBA(I) provoked the blessing prayers.
The awardees are Satmunchon Kipgen, Ngamlenlal Kipgen, Nehgougin Singsit, Ngamminhao Haokip and Satminhao Kipgen from EMRS, Gamnom Sapormeina, Lengunlal Kipgen, Letkhongam Khongsai, Thangminchon Singsit, Kamgoulen Lhouvum, Lalginhao Misao from Diamond Eng H/S, Kpi, Sumit Gupta from ETS Motbung, Surbhi Pandey from Lighthouse School, Kpi, Thangginlenlal Kipgen from Elite Hr Sec School, Kpi, L Manggou Haokip from Mt Calvary Eng School, Leimakhong.
They were presented with a memento, citation and cash reward of Rs 5,000 each and another Rs 5,000 to State level position holders and Rs 1,000 to State level subject toppers.
Thangminlen Kipgen encouraged the students to be kind, gracious and honest, saying that character is just as important as professional or academic success.
Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman ADC Sadar Hills also motivated the meritorious students and wished them well in their future endeavours.
Chunglenmang Kipgen, MCS while exhorting the students, highlighted some of his personal experience in breaking the MCS exams.
The function was also attended by Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman ADC Sadar Hills, James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi, Lalminlen Misao, MPS, Addl SP (Ops), Kangpokpi, S Singsit, Hony Secy, MPKFCT along with parents and guardians of the students.
