Imphal, April 05 2015 :
AMSU has demanded a proper and fair selection process, suspecting the possibility of manipulation and cronyism in the selection process of Manipur University (MU)'s regular posts for Assistant Prof, Associate Prof and Principal B Ed, etc.
A press release issued by AMSU Headquarters Information and Publicity Secretary, L Surbala states that the initial stages of the selection process strengthened the suspicion of favouring candidates who are relatives/families of MU officials and influential persons.
Considering the numerous incidents of unfair administrative process of MU in the recent past, AMSU has appealed not to victimize the students, teachers, staffs and qualified candidates for the sake of personal benefits.
AMSU further added that slighting of the demands and unfettered manipulation will entail severe consequences and MU authorities, VC and Registrar, will be held responsible of the untoward developments.
