Film appreciation course from Jan 15

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, under its Skilling India in Film & Television (SKIFT), will be conducting a Film Appreciation Course in association with the Department of Mass Communication, Manipur University, inside the university campus from January 15 to 19.Pankaj Saxena (film maker, cinema academic, writer, former Head of Programming BBC Worldwide and VP Discovery Channel and specialist in documentary films) will be the course director with Munish Bhardwaj (film maker and teacher, screen writer of TV series Bhanwar, Hadsa, Rajdhani and writer/director of Moh Maya Money) as co-faculty for the course which has a fixed vacancy of 100 participants, out of which 50 will be reserved for participants directly associated with Manipur University.
The participants should be 18 years or above with minimum qualification being 12th pass (10th pass acceptable in exceptional cases).
On the other hand, course fees for participants associated with Manipur University will be Rs 2,000 while for others it will be Rs 2,500 and the said amount can be paid in cash or through demand draft.
Seats for the course will be allocated on first-come-first-served basis and the last date and time for submission of applications will be 3 pm of January 8.The top left of the envelopes should be marked 'Application for Film Appreciation Course' and incomplete applications, applications without required demand draft/ course fee, applications received after due date and time etc will be rejected.
The medium of instruction would be English and Hindi and participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/or Hindi as regards to reading, writing and speaking.
All the selected candidates would be communicated by email and once admission is offered, the same cannot be cancelled and the course fee of the selected candidates is non refundable as well.
All participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course.
Minimum 90 percent attendance is mandatory to be eligible for the certificate.
