Manipur Tourism awarded 'Most Promising New Destination Award'

Manipur Tourism has been awarded the 'Most Promising New Destination Award' at the concluding day of three day 91st Travel and Tourism Fair at Nehru centre, Mumbai on Sunday.
The winner was adjudged from among the participants of the fair, altogether more than 400 stakeholders from around the world participating in the fair.
The award was conferred to Manipur state tourism Commissioner KK Chhetry and his team comprising tourist officer L Ibochoubi, Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association's president Dr L Surjit, Managing Director HRK Sharma of Seven Sisters Holidays, Manager-Business Development of Shija Hospitals Santosh Shekhar and Manager of The Classic Hotel Paonam Sommykanta for the team effort and showcasing Manipur as the most promising new destination.
"This is for the first time the award has been conferred to Manipur for its relentless efforts of the stakeholders in promoting the state as a preferred tourist destination", Manager-Business Development of Shija Hospitals Santosh Shekhar said on phone.

Travel Agents Association of India's president M Iqbal Mulla, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media Ltd Sanjiv Agarwal and Executive Director of Fairfest Media Ltd Rajiv Agarwal were the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and President of the valedictory function.
