Imphal, November 03 2009:
Chief Minister O Ibobi has assured the representatives of All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Coordination Committee on Revocation of Indefinite Class Boycott in Manipur that the class boycott impasse will be solved at the earliest.
A statement issued by the convenor of the committee, Doren Khaba Nganba informed that the representatives of the Committee met the CM, Education Minister and officials concerned today around 12.30pm at the CM's Chamber.
The Committee's representatives have also submitted a memorandum demanding the resumption of normal classes in normal atmosphere.
The memorandum also warned that all recognised private institutions in Manipur may be compelled to surrender the recognition certificates of the institutions if the government fails to make arrangement of financial grant to private institutions affected by the ongoing impasse by November 7 .
To this demand, the CM has also assured the representatives to take up appropriate positive action, the statement conveyed.
