Imphal, January 03 2019:
Former MP and intending BJP candidate of the upcoming Outer Manipur Lok Sabha election, Kim Gangte has urged the people of the State to exercise their voting rights with conscience, in the upcoming election.
Speaking as a special guest at the Christmas cum New Year celebration held today at Bijang village, Kangpokpi district, Kim Gangte said only when the people exercise their right to vote genuinely, the State will witness prosperity and progress and free the society from corrupted politicians.
She pointed out that choosing representatives in election through the influence of money and muscle power has led the elected representatives to misuse all the welfare benefits of the public in effort to substitute the money invested during election time.
She went on to state that corrupt and dishonest politicians use communalism as tool and play divide and rule policy between communities and even among family members to win votes, apart from money and muscle power.
She added that the public are the ultimate victims of such gross politics.
It is the high time for people to open their eyes not to get lured by the corrupted politicians in the name of bringing change and development in the society, she noted.
Claiming that she has been actively engaging in multiple social organizations and works towards bringing unity among various communities in the State, she proudly said that she would never betray the people and not stop working for the social cause.
Kim Gangte then exuded confidence that the authorities concerned in BJP will give the party ticket to her in consideration of her activities and in close association to all community members.
The function was also attended by many Pastors and village elders and youths as well.
