Nemcha Kipgen lauded for her role in combating COVID-19 in Kpi

Working tirelessly during this time of crisis, the district COVID in-charge Minister Nemcha Kipgen played a pivotal role as 'strength to the people' in the fight against the deadly pandemic in Kangpokpi district.
Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen, who is also in-charge Minister of Kangpokpi and Senapati for COVID-19, was stupendously praised and lauded for her exemplary role in the ongoing COVID-19 crisis by the voluntary civil bodies frontline workers in a farewell day of catering service for the returnees today.
The catering service for returnees was done by Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC) for a month which will be taken over by the Kuki Baptist Convention Centre Church Kangpokpi take the responsibility starting tomorrow.
The farewell service at KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi was attended by Somorjit Salam IAS, DC Kangpokpi, Chunglenmang Kipgen, MCS in-charge of Quarantine Centres in Kangpokpi town, members of KBC Centre Church and youth fellowships.
Member of KBC Centre Church NS Gangte lauded and thanked the Minister for her active participation and contributions in the fight against COVID-19 and also for providing personal protection equipments to all the frontline workers.
Somorjit Salam, IAS DC Kangpokpi said that the present health crisis has left everyone confused and in a panic as there is no cure or vaccine but fortunately Minister Nemcha Kipgen has helped the district in procuring necessary equipments and items to fight the virus.
The IAS officer also lauded the contribution of Churches in Kangpokpi and KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi in particular for taking the burden of catering returnees for one month, helping the District Administration and contributed Rs 10,000 in cash towards the Church as a mark of gratefulness and thanks.
Meanwhile, the Quarantine Centres in-charge of Kangpokpi Chunglenmang Kipgen, MCS also appreciated and thanked Minister Nemcha Kipgen for her selfless active role in helping the District Administration in the fight against COVID-19 while lauding the tireless efforts and contribution of KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi in the catering service.
He also contributed Rs 12,000 towards KBC Centre Church fund as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
The farewell dinner with pork and fish meat provided by the Minister marked the occasion.
