Poacher's house not burned

Bishnupur, November 30 2017:
Heisnam Inao Singh brother of the Hog deer poacher yesterday said that the house of his brother (the poacher) has not been burned .
The poacher identified as Heisnam Kengba (63) was nabbed by the police on Nov 24 from Keibul Lamjao National park on charge of killing a wild Hog deer .
He said that the news published in some section of the media that his brother's house has been burned by the local people is baseless and false .
Hog deer locally known as Kharsa is a protected schedule 1 animal under the Wild Life Protection Act.
Poacher Kengba is presently in police custody .
Inao further said that there was one instance on Nov 26 where the locality did try to burn the house .
The local club has since offered help and is looking after the family to avoid any unwanted incidents, he further said and added that it is sad that such an unfounded and false news has been published.
He appealed the newspapers to clarify as soon as possible.
