JAC cancels proposed bandh

Thoubal, January 31 2020:
Following the arrest of 4 individuals who were 'involved in hit and run case' that killed a women on January 29 last at Khangabok, the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of M (o) Manjuri (57) Devi by Unknown Vehicle Khangabok has dropped its proposed bandh along NH-102 (Imphal-Moreh Road).
The four persons that were arrested by Thoubal Police in connection with the case are Waikhom Robinson Singh alias Maru (27), S/o W Inao from Thoubal Bazaar Makha; Waikhom Buten alias Ellubi Singh (27), S/o W Kumar Singh from Thoubal Bazaar Makha Pakhangkhong Leirak; Kshetrimayum Kanan alias Anand Singh (27), S/o Ksh Rajen Singh and Romen Thingujam (27), S/o Th Munal Singh from Thoubal Haokha Kiyam Siphai.
One blue Maruti Alto involved in the case has also been picked up by the police.
The deceased woman was identified as Moirangthem (o) Manjuri (57), W/o late M Ibopisak of Khangabok Awang Bangshibudhon Leikai.
The JAC has cancelled the proposed bandh along Imphal-Moreh Road and also claimed the body of M (o) Manjuri from JNIMS morgue, today.
The JAC lauded Thoubal Police for their swift action under the supervision of SP Dr S Ibomcha.
They also lauded social worker Kh Menjor Mangang for assuring to extend help to the family members of the deceased.
The JAC appealed the State Government to provide all possible help to the bereaved family members at the earliest.
