2 more school going girls go missing

Imphal, April 27 2013 :
Two girl students reading in class X in Sagang High School under Kumbi Police Station of Bishnupur district have reportedly gone missing since April 22 after they left together for Moirang Bazaar to buy some clothes.
The two missing school going girls have been identified as Heisnam Nanao alias Sumitra (15), d/o H Ranbir and Yumnam Kabita alias Echal (18), d/o Y Chaobi, both hailing from Kumbi Laingoubi village.
Informing this to media at Manipur Press Club today, family members of the two missing girls informed that both of them went out from their respective houses around 10:30 am on April 22 to buy some school uniforms from Moirang Bazaar.
Since they did not return till late in the evening, it was presumed that both of them might have eloped with their respective lovers.
However, as there was no confirmation about their elopement on the following day, the family members filed missing reports in Kumbi Police Station.
It is said that the younger brother of Kabita heard his sister talking over the phone to someone before leaving their home on that day.
While searching for clues from the said telephone number, the family members found a number (9774163752) written in her diary against the name of one Arun Mangang of Bishnupur.
When the number was contacted and asked whether he had talked with Kabita on April 22, Arun replied in positive and on being requested gave another mobile number for contacting with Kabita.
However, no one picks up the phone and it has remained switch off after sometime.
Later, when the family members tried the number of Arun again, his phone too was found switched off.
The family members alleged that the whole story had been narrated to the Bishupur Police Station and requested for tracing Arun, but the police flatly denied on the ground that there are many people by the name of Arun.
The family members of both the missing girls have appealed to all connected with the abduction of the two girls to release them unharmed on humanitarian ground as well as in consideration of the problems being faced by them.
