Everything set for TET today

For the convenience of the candidates appearing in the Teacher's Eligibility Test (TED, which is all set to be conducted tomorrow, the State Government has arranged special bus services on 8 different routes in Imphal and the candidates would be given to and fro free ride.
Announcing this during a press conference at his office chamber at the Secretariat Building here today, Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro stated that all the precautionary measures have been taken up by the State Government to ensure smooth conduct of TET tomorrow.
The Minister informed that altogether 59,895 candidates would be appearing in the exam in 150 centres that have been arranged.
For the conveniences of the candidates, eight semi-low-floor buses tagged as "Special Buses" would be pressed into service on eight different routes in Imphal.
No bus fare would be levied from the students with TET admit cards tomorrow.
The bus for Route-1 would start from DM College campus and stop at Lilong after covering Khuyathong, Nityaipat Chuthek, Post Office turning, Singjamei, Kakwa.
The Route 2 would also start from DM College but end at Mongshangei after passing through Khuyathong, Nityaipat Chuthek, Keishampat, Keishamthong and Pishumthong The Route 3 bus would set out from DM College campus and finish at Airport while covering en-route Khuyathong Nityaipat Chuthek, Keishampat and Kwakeithel.
For Route 4, the bus would start from DM College campus and pass through Khuyathong before coming out along Kangla gate and proceed towards Sagolband, Tera, Langjing and finally end up at Patsoi.
The bus for Route 5 would also start from DM College campus and end at Langjing after passing through Khuyathong, Kangla gate, Uripok, Naoremthong and Iroishemba.
For Route 6, the bus would kick start from DM College campus and proceed along Khuyathong Nityaipat Chuthek and then pass along Sajenthong, RDS Crossing and Wangkhei before terminating at Kongba Dhobi lampak.
The Route 7 would start from DM College campus and come along NH-2 to North AOC before proceeding towards Chingmeirong Dingku Road, Lamlong and finally end at Khurai Sajor Leikai.
Lastly, the Route 8 would begin its journey from DM College campus and go along North AOC and pass through Chingmeirong Sangak-pham and Mantripukhri before terminating at Luwangshangbam.
The service of all the special buses would start from 7:30 am tomorrow and the buses would be flagged off for the evening session at 12:15 pm, the Minister said, while informing that for the conveniences of all those coming from far off places, accommodation and other necessary arrangements would be made at three different points of DM College.
Minister Okendro also appealed to the people to extend support and cooperation to all the candidates especially those coming from remote areas of the state in finding the exam centres.
It is said that an Education Consultative Committee has also been formed to look into the smooth conduct of TET The members of the committee include MLA DK Korungthang of Chandel A/C; MLA V Valte of Churachandpur A/C, MLA Kikhonbou Newmai of Tamenglong A/C, MLA Alexander Pao of Senapati A/C and MLA MK Preshow Shimray of Chingai A/C. Members of the Education Consultative Committee,Director of Education H Deleep and other officials of Education Department were also present during the press conference.
