DoFP reaches out to remote villages

, Jun 22: The Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (Nagaland & Manipur Region) organized a special outreach programme for underprivileged villagers.
The programme was organised to highlight the flagship programmes of the Central Government at S Mollen village, Singngat sub-division, Churachandpur district .
Gracing the event as chief guest, local ADC Member Grace Zamnu expressed the need for a comprehensive intervention and involvement of various stake holders to ensure that the welfare schemes of Central Government reach the beneficiaries in a fruitful manner .
Dwelling on the campaign of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', she stated that the status of a country is measured by how a woman is treated in the country .
She lauded the work of DFP in reaching out even to one of the most remote places of the State.
SDO, Singngat James Sehlal Hangshing, who also attended the event as a dignitary noted the need for more activities to create awareness at the grassroots level.
The Chief of S Mollen village, Letkhojang Touthang, Regional Director of DFP ( Nagaland & Manipur ) Mangjangam Touthang, Chief Manager of SBI, Churachandpur Pauneihthang Valte and Lamkhanthang from the Postal Department also took part in the event.
