Maring Uparap Assembly warns

Imphal, October 21 2020:
Taking serious note of frequent visits and turning Sengwai river near Tuinem village, Kangoi and K Tuisen village in Tengnoupal district into picnic spots by many non locals, Maring Uparap Assembly (MUA) has warned of liable actions under appropriate customary law.
MUA, in a statement reacted sharply over the act of partying using alcohols and other intoxicants by non locals at the spot that too at a time when the State is overwhelmed by the COVID-19 outbreak.
It also urged the general public not to organise any picnic parties at Sengwai River during such a crucial hour of COVID-19 pandemic while warning of strict actions against violators.
