Two days long bird watching camp concludes

Bishnupur, December 15 2018:
A two days Bird Watching Camp based on National Mission on Himalayan Studies, organized by Bishnupur Forest Division in association with several clubs of Bishnupur district since December 14 at Toubul concluded today.
In connection with the camp, all the students who have participated in the said camp were made to go on a round trip of Loktak to witness the life of different kinds of wild animals and birds including the migratory birds inhabited at the lake and imparted knowledge to the students on how to protect the birds and various others means to increase the population of migratory birds.
One of the students said that their perspective towards wild animals and birds have changed after the joining the camp as they came know the importance of wild animals and birds in preserving the eco-system of the environment and added that they will extend utmost care and love to such birds and animals.
RK Birjit, State Co-ordinator, Indian Bird Conservation Network; N Ganesh (IFS), DFO Bishnupur; RO Bishnupur Ratankumar; RO Moirang Babuyai; and various other people attended the concluding day while certificates were also distributed to 32 student campers who have come from different area under Bishnupur Forest.
On Decemeber 14, Conservator of Forest Souther Forest Circle Kham Suanmung Tawmbing IFS, K Jugeshor Singh Honorary Wild life Warden Principal Kumbi College, RK Birjit State Co-ordinator Indian Bird Conservation Network, N Ganesh IFS DFO Bishnupur Forest Division attended the opening day of the camp which was participated by students studying in Class 8 to 12 from different parts of Bishnupur District.
