Bank of India (BOI) opens new branch at Thoubal

Thoubal, October 10 2013 :
Thoubal branch of Bank of India (BOI) was inaugurated by Thoubal DC T Ranjit today.
Guwahati Zonal Office Chief Manager Sanjeev Kumar Singh and former CMO Dr Ksh Manglem attended the function as functional president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the occasion as chief guest, T Ranjit said that the district would always welcome any installation and project meant for the welfare of the people.
The district now has six branches of different nationalised banks and 13 ATM booths, the DC said and added that a Clearing House would also be opened within two months in the district.
Branch Manager Oinam Khogendro said that BOI has 4467 branches and 50 Zonal offices all over the country and the world.

He added that BOI occupies second position among 19 nationalised banks in the country.
After its first branch was opened at Imphal, Thoubal branch is the third branch in Manipur, he added.
Emphasising more on small business, mass market and rural market, the bank would put in effort to provide all necessities of stake holders, he added.
