Go To Village incorporates National Nutrition Mission

The Go to Village Mission incorporated the 'Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan' (National Nutrition Month) with an aim to bring down stunting of children in the age group of 0-6 years from 38% to 25% by 2022.The National Nutrition Month was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 8 this year.
As the GTV Mission continues, camps were held at districts across the State.
Here are the highlights of the camps.
Bishnupur: The district administration of Bishnupur organised three camps at Pukhrambam Haraopham Community Hall for Thounaojam Pukhrambam and Lourembam (II) villages, Sunusiphai Mayai Leikai Community Hall for Phubala, Sunusiphai and Naranseina villages and Santhong Bazar for Kwakta Gram Panchayat Ward No 4, 5,6,7,8 and 9.Apart from the regular delivery of services like LPG connections, distribution of fertilizer (urea), Biometric enrolment, banking services, Rashtriya Poshan Maah was launched in all the campsites.
The participants of the camps also took 'Poshan Pledge' to promote antenatal care, breast-feeding, fight anaemia, convey messages about the importance of nutrition and growth monitoring and also promote hygiene and sanitation.
Chandel: Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) for Chandel District was officially launched today by Secretary Revenue and District GTV Nodal Officer T Ranjit Singh.
The month long Rashtriya Poshan Maah was officially launched during the GTV Mission at Purum Chumbang village community hall.
Speaking about Rashtriya Poshan Maah, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Krishna Kumar stressing the importance of health and nutrition of a children.
"9 months before delivery and 2 years after the delivery.....these 1,000 days are the most crucial period for a baby as no amount of treatment can recover the lost or damage done during this period," he said.
Anganwadi workers and the Anganwadi centres are the most important institutions for this mission, he said and added that other institutes like Education Department which creates awareness amongst the students, PHED which provides clean drinking water, toilets and sanitation facilities and all other departments also have different roles to play.
The DC appealed the villagers to interact with the ASHA and the Anganwadi workers.
An on the spot painting competition was also held for children.
The GTV camp was held for the villages of Purum Chumbang, Zionhang, Chandanpokpi, Old Wangpral, New Wangpral, Khunthar, Heigrutampak, Heibunglok and Khuninglong.
Benefits of various schemes were distributed to the villagers.
T Ranjit Singh, Secretary, Revenue, Krishna Kumar, DC Chandel, Dr Chinglenkhomba Meitei, ADC/ADM Chandel, Syed Abdul Samad, Addl SP-Chandel, K Siddharth, SDO Chandel, Leander Loitongbam, AC to DC Chandel, Gautam, SDC Chandel attended the camp.
Churachandpur: The Go to Village camps were held at Charoi Khullen village for Kangvai and Leimatak covering about four villages of Charoi Khullen, Kokodan Khullen, Majuron Kabui and Dimjanglong.
TT Haokip, Chairman, HAC, Manipur launched the 'Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan' (National Nutrition Month-2018) and inaugurated Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centre.
He appealed to the public and village elders to extend cooperation and avail maximum quality healthcare services and benefits from the Centre and various schemes that come with it.
Various entitlements like registration of job-cards, PMAY forms, Domicile-Residential/Tribe/Income Certificates, school materials (shoes) agriculture materials etc were distributed to beneficiaries at the camps by different departments such Education, Forest, MSPDCL, Sericulture, Police, Social Welfare, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Medical, ADCC, Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, PHED, PWD, Co-Operative, CAF & PD etc.
Thoubal: GTV Mission was held at three different venues of Thoubal district today.
The vamps were held at Ningel Laibung under Heirok AC, Khangabok Part-II Multipurpose Hall under Khangabok AC and Papal Community Hall under Wangjing-Tentha AC.
Around 30 stalls of different departments were opened to attend the queries of general public at the camps.
Spot painting competitions of school students were held under the initiative of ZEO Thoubal at the camp venues.
Shoes were also distributed to the students.
Health check up & Health Cards under CMHT were given to the beneficiaries under the initiative of CMO, Thoubal.
LPG gas connection were distributed to the beneficiaries under the Ujala scheme.
Weaver's card were also distributed.
Wangjing-Tentha MLA P Brojen Singh attended GTV Mission at Papal Community Hall.
Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Haobam Rosita visited the camp venues and inspected.
Kakching: The district administration of Kakching held the Go to Village camps at Laimanai Community Hall for Mayang Lamjao Gram Panchayat and Waikhong Gram Panchayat.
Jiribam: The GTV camps for delivery of services to the public at their doorsteps were held at Sonapur Government Primary School, Sonapur and Ahmedabad Government High School.
The villages covered by the camps are Sonapur, Aglapur, Ahmedabad-I and Ahmedabad-II .
Imphal East: The district administration organised four camps at Takhel Chingtam Community Hall, Kairang Popular Union Club, Kairang Maning Leikai, Keikhu Community Hall and Poiroukhongjin Community Hall.
The camp at Takhel Chingtam Community Hall covered the villages of Takhel, Kamuchingjil, Sanjenbam Khunou, Sanjenbam Khullel, Sangsabi, Kambongpul Panthabi, Chingkhei Khullel, Kharasom and Salakhul.
The camp at Kairang Popular Union Club, Kairang Maning Leikai covered the villages of Kontha Ahallup and Kairang Meitei.
The camp at Keikhu Community Hall covered the villages of Keikhu Kabui, Thangbrijao and Naharup Awang Leikai, while the camp at Poiroukhongjin Community Hall covered the villages of Tulihal, Poiroukhongjin, Kaina and Poirou Thangkhul.
