State children on AR organised tour meet Delhi CM

Children from Manipur taking part in the Assam Rifles conducted educational tour met with Delhi Chief Minister, Sheela Dixit on Friday, said a statement of the IGAR (S) today.
The 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector organised the tour to New Delhi under the aegis HQ IGAR (South) in a noble effort for orphan children along with two teachers.
During their first week of excursion they visited various Military and National leaders in Delhi.
A number of NGO's and corporate houses based in Delhi came forward to help the children during their stay in Delhi.
KABURU working at Thoubal Multipurpose project, Maphau and Phumdi removing at Loktak Lake too came ahead in associating the event.
The children visited prominent locations in Delhi including pristine national monuments.
The children on January 28, interacted with Mrs Shiela Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi.
Speaking on this occasion she exhorted the participating children to learn and enjoy themselves during their tour.
She was presented the traditional Manipuri Naga Shawl by the students as a token of their love and remembrance.
A day prior to this the children met with DG NCC and others, the statement added.
