Ban lifted on movement of heavy vehicles along JT road after assurance

Joint Action Committe (JAC), Jiribam Tipaimuk (JT) Road, Jiribam has lifted the ban on the movement of heavy vehicles along JT road after Work Minister Th Biswajit Singh gave his assurance to start repairing work on said road from December 8.A meeting was held at the office of All Jiribam Auto Rickshaw Owner's and Drivers Association, in the presence of M Tombabu Singh, Convener JAC JT road, Ng Chandra Kumar Singh, President JAC JT road and Chunamani Singh, Advisor JAC JT road Jiribam along with the public today.
During the meeting, it has been resolved that the ongoing ban on the movement of heavy vehicles imposed by the Joint Action Committe (JAC), Jiribam Tipaimuk (JT) road, Jiribam since November 26 be partially lifted as the Work Minister Th Biswajit Singh has assured that the road contraction work along JT road will be started from December 8.However, JAC convenor M Tombabu Singh cautioned that the JAC will launch more intense agitation if authority concerned fail to deliver on their promise.
It may be mentioned that JAC has banned plying of heavy vehicles along the deplorable Jiri Tipaimuk Road (JT Road) as the authority concerned has not taken any concrete steps to repair the road after repeated appeal.
