Conveying deepest sympathies to the people afflicted by the recent violence in the State, Meetei Christian Churches Council, Manipur (MCCCM) has expressed its solidarity with the people of Manipur in these hard times.
In a release, MCCCM shared that the destroying and vandalising religious places including Churches during the recent conflict was unfortunate.
The Council continued that Meetei Christians have also been born & brought up in Manipur and are ready to fight and die to protect the integrity of the State.
"Meetei Christians will stand against any attempt to disrupt the integrity of Manipur", it added.
MCCCM further prayed to the Almighty for restoration of peace and tranquillity in the State.
Similarly, expressing concern over the ongoing conflict, Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Cultural Foundation, Manipur has also appealed to all the communities to show restraint and set aside their differences to bring back peace & harmony in Manipur.
