Imphal, March 28 2018:
The All Zeliangrong Arts and Cultural Organisation (AZACO) has strongly condemned the Tatar Hoho decision of the NSCN/GPRN which claimed to have been adopted on March 23 in pursuant to the directive of the vice-president of NSCN/GPRN for recognition of Zeme, Liangmai and Rongmei along with the Ollo tribe of Arunachal Pradesh as Naga tribes after fragmenting the Zeliangrong family.
A press release issued by the president of AZACO today stated that the decision of the Tatar Hoho is not only against the interest of the Zeliangrong people but has also deeply hurt the sentiments of the Zeliangrong people.
The decision of the Tatar Hoho of the NSCN/GPRN for separate recognition of Zeliangrong into three separate tribes is an attempt to sow seeds of distrust and discord in the Zeliangrong family, it claimed and demanded the decision of the Tatar Hoho to be reviewed at the earliest in the interest of the Zeliangrong people and in the larger interest of the Naga people.
