A film city to come up at Langthabal Khoupum

MLA of Langthabal Assembly Constituency Karam Shyam has announced that a film city would be developed at Langthabal Khoupum area for an estimated cost of Rs.28 crores.
He was speaking as President of the inaugural function of a community hall at Langthabal Khoupum in Imphal West today.
MLA Shyam further said that the scenic beauty and the hillocks surrounding Langthabal Khoupum area would be best suited for development of a film city.
A detailed project report (DPR) would be prepared soon in this regard, he noted.
Furthermore, the MLA announced that a tourism park would also be developed at Lilong Toupokpi for an estimated cost of Rs.8 crores.
The DPR of the park has already been formulated.

The project would commence as soon as the Ministry of Tourism gives its approval, Shyam added.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the inaugural function, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said that the State is inhabited by people belonging to different communities.
Everyone should be responsible to promote peace and harmony in the State by bridging the hills-plains divide.
He further appealed to the people to preserve and promote the age-old rich culture and tradition of different tribes and communities of the State.
Deputy CM also announced that he would provide the required number of chairs for the newly inaugurated community hall.
