Farmers' Awareness programme held

With the objective to bring better agricultural productivity and improve the economy of one's family as well as the State, Kakching Lamdong Farmers' Club organised a day-long farmers' awareness programme at Kakching Sumak Leikai Community Hall here today.
Speaking as chief guest at the occasion, Chairman of Project Development and Monitoring Committee of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and Managing Trustee of Kakching Initiative for National Development (KIND) Trust, M Rameshwar said that farmers are the backbone of a country.
Better yield in agro products helps development of a country.
It is a matter of pride that farmers living in Kakching A/C have been producing and making seasonal vegetables available in the market, Rameshwar expressed and assured that KIND Trust will always be ready to provide possible support to Kakching farmers in terms of consultations with experts to prevent from plant diseases and financial assistance through banks.
During the programme attended by progressive farmers, Thokchom Kokngang and Yengkhom Ahanjao as presidium members, Kh Yaiskul, Senior Manager (Inspection) Vigilance of Manipur Rural Bank (MRB), HO Keishampat; S Gojendro, Manager MRB Kakching Branch and other experts spoke on how to seek financial assistance through bank and prevention of plant diseases.
