Use of alcohol and tobacco products such as Paan in celebration, rituals etc and as Heithapot in the fields to serve the workers during paddy transplantation and post transplantation activities only encourage the abuse of alcohol and use of tobacco products, he said.
If the owner of the farm didn't serve Kwa Jarda (Paan) and alcohol as Heithapot, he or she is generally viewed and criticised by the workers/people as impolite and someone 'who does not know Chatnabi (popular culture/trend)' .
People should really change their mindset and question themselves if their acts are encouraging others especially children to abuse drugs.
Children and future generations should be taught to avoid nicotine/tobacco products and drug abuse by examples, he hinted advising all to set good examples for their wards to follow.
