TMF hands out veggies for valley people to UCM

Imphal, April 27 2020:
Tangkhul Music Forum (TMF) has provided fresh vegetables and other agricultural produces grown in hill areas to United Committee Manipur (UCM) for distribution to select underprivileged families in valley areas, during a simple a function held at the office of the latter at Lamphel.
Acknowledging their generosity, the UCM also handed over a simple gift to TMF.
On the occasion, UCM president, Sunil Karam lauded TMF for extending helping hands to the valley people at such time of crisis.
Saying that people in hill districts are facing an extra challenge of COVID crisis due to its location, Sunil added that UCM is considering to hand out all possible help to people in remote villages and hill districts in coming days.
He also said that no external force can break or tear apart this feeling of brotherhood shared between the people of hills and valley areas.
In the meantime, advisor of TMF, Guru Rewben expressed his happiness on receiving the vegetables whole-heartedly by UCM, while president of Ching-Tam Sports Association, Ashang Kasar said that the vegetables were provided to signify that the feeling of brotherhood between hills and valley people is still going strong.
Saying that the vegetables were collected from Changa Village, which is located near Kamjong, Ashang Kasar lauded UCM for receiving the simple help they arranged for the valley people ardently.
On the other hand, UCM with the help of the Extrajudicial Execution Victim Families Association Manipur (EEVFAM) provided relief items to some select victims of fake encounter.
