Indian Red Cross Society organises Students Sensitization Programme

Under the aegis of the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, the Youth Red Cross Unit of Lilong Haoreibi College in association with the NSS and NCC organised a one day Students Sensitization Programme presided by the Principal of Lilong Haoreibi College Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh on 'COVID19: Its impact on youths' as a part of the series of activities being conducted for preparation of assessment and accreditation of the college under the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) today at the Multipurpose Hall of the College.
The Students Sensitization Programme was initiated by the talk on COVID 19: General Perspectives by Dr Rk Nimai Singh, IAS (Retd.), Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch and it was followed by lecture cum demonstration on Psychological impacts of COVID 19 on Youths by Narendra Ningomba, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal East Branch, said a statement released by Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur Branch.
Dr Sunil Senjam, Asst Professor of Biochemistry, Manipur University presented scientific talk on 'Recent Trends in COVID 19 Vaccines', added the statement.
The programme has benefited to about 100 students from amongst the NCC, NSS, Youth Red Cross Unit and students of B Voc.
Degree Programmes of Lilong Haoreibi College and attended by maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks following the COVID 19 SOP's, added the statement.
An open quiz competition based on the lectures delivered by the resource persons was also organised and prizes were also distributed to the winners of the competition as a part of the programme, added the statement.
