L Ibomcha felicitated

All Tribal Blind Association (ATBA), Chandel district felicitated L Ibomocha Singh on his appointment as the State Disabled Commissioner in a function held at Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi village in Chandel district today.
The felicitation was graced by ST Nunghlung Victor, MLA 41 Chandel A/C as the chief guest while Ws Kanral, President of Chandel Naga People's Organization and M Chaoba Singh, Former District Social Welfare Officer, Chandel graced as the guests of honour.
Speaking at the occasion, ST Nunghlung Victor said, "We must not neglect and ignore the differently abled persons.
Rather, every individuals, organisations as well as Government should extend our helping hands to show them there is a place for them too in our society.
Otherwise they may develop negative thoughts in their mind" .
Apart from assuring to extend possible assistance, the MLA further said that the differently abled persons should also co-operate one another and work together as a team in order to bring development and prosperity.
In the function, the MLA donated three bags of rice, one bag of sugar and a cash of Rs 5000 while Ws Kanral donated a bag of rice and some dal as well as some sweets to the Mission Blind School.
Village Chiefs, civil society organisation leaders and representatives of disabled organisations from other districts also attended the programme besides disabled persons of Chandel district.
