Imphal, May 21 2016 :
Students of Maharaja Bodhachandra College
have started locking college campus from today as the Government failed to respond to their demands within stipulated three
days.
Speaking to reporters, college students' union general sec-
retary Dhanachandra Khaidem said that they would lock the
offices of Education Minister and Education (U) Director if
they fail to act on the issue within 24 hours.
He said that the students had urged the Education Minister
to look into the matter of frequent flooding of college campus
within three days.
Dhanachandra further said that the students would also
start boycotting semester examinations from Monday as an-
nounced earlier.
As flood waters started entering the college campus, class-
rooms and examination halls from May 18, the college
particularly students have been facing lots of inconvenience in
conducting/appearing in semester examinations, he said.
However, the State Government has turned a blind eye to
this problem faced by the college authority and students,
Dhanachandra said.
He threatened to launch more intense agitations if the
Government maintains silence on the issue.
