SALAI Holdings Pvt Ltd comes to the rescue of accident victim

Imphal, December 20 2017:
SALAI Holdings Private Limited, Imphal West today provided a wheel chair and a monetary assistance of Rs 20, 000 to Ngangom Brojendro (47) of Moirang Purel Awang Leikai, Imphal East, who cannot afford to undergo treatment for the grievous injuries he suffered in a road accident .
Ngangom Brojendro, husband of Ngangom Ongbi Ibemcha Devi (45) is currently bedridden after his spinal cord got hurt when his scooter collided with a vehicle at Ngakha Ching in Imphal East district on the fateful day of June 25, 2013 .
He underwent intense treatment in and outside the State at the initial stage and incurred around Rs 13 lakh in doing so.
He was compelled to sell a portion of his residential area and other properties to meet the cost of his treatment .
Despite incurring a huge amount of money in the treatment, his illness does not improve much although his consulting doctors assured that the illness can be healed with continuous treatment .
Brojendro's family who live hand-to-mouth can no longer bear the cost of his treatment.
Till date Brojendro's legs and hands are not functioning properly compelling him to use urine pipes and medicines while answering to nature call .
Brojendro has an 18 years old daughter who is pursuing Class 12 at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, Thoubal .
He said that he has high hope on his only daughter but keeps worrying that the pitiable conditions of his family might soon end up her study .
Brojendro expressed gratitude to the vice-chairman of SALAI Holdings Private Limited, Elangbam Brojendro for extending the assistances .
Elangbam Brojendro conveyed to the aggrieved accident victim that the aids were given to the latter as part of the company’s continuous efforts to help the needy persons in the society and to bring them to the mainstream .
He expressed hope that the endorsement of aids by the company will be an eye-opener for the Government to support the poor and needy persons in the State .
In a similar endeavour, a Whatsapp group of journalists extended monetary help to Echel Express's reporter Chanam Netraj who is undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital's ICU ward since the last 20 days after he suffered a stroke.
