Officiating IGAR (S) Brigadier SS Mishra flagged off the last leg of the promotional campaign of Royal riders, Manipur from Hotel Imphal today.
In his address to the Royal Riders Brig Mishra said that It was a great privilege to be associated with the promotion and publicity campaign of the prestigious Sangai festival.
The Manipur Sangai festival organised as a State Level Festival strives to showcase the uniqueness and the diversity, the State has to offer to the world in terms of arts and culture, adventure sports, indigenous games and sports, handloom and handicrafts, but in the same breath bringing the people of the State and the country together.
The Royal Riders, Manipur are indeed the messengers of brotherhood and peace who have come together from different walks of life and professions and have given a new meaning to the passion of bike riding by taking up philanthropic activities like goodwill tours, rallies for a cause, charitable events such as health and environment, child rights, disaster management, art and culture and above all spreading the message of peace and brotherhood in our difficult time, a PRO IGAR (S) release quoted the Brigadier as saying.
It is informed that Brig Mishra assured Assam Rifles' commitment to promote the spirit of peace and brotherhood which the Sangai Festival and Royal Riders, Manipur so truly embody.
He expressed great pleasure to be invited to flag off the last leg of the promotional campaign of the Sangai Festival and on behalf of DGAR Lt Gen Ranbir Singh and IGAR (S) Maj Gen UK Gurung wished the organizers great success and the riders Good Luck.
